"Quick Question": How to write better subject lines for sales emails

Subject: Quick Question

I'm so fed up of seeing my inbox full of 'quick questions'

They're usually totally irrelevant to my life and they just take up so much of my timeI have absolutely no problem with someone cold emailing me or warm emailing me to sell

But the subject line of 'quick question' drives me up the wall

Ask anyone in a role even loosely in a buyer tole to show you their inbox now and you'll see at least three people with quick questions

Then look at their trash folder and you'll see it's full of unread messages with the same subject lineWhat to do differently?

It's easy

Firstly, make the subject line a short summary of the ask you're making in the post.

If you want to sell someone a project management tool, make the subject line:

'Project management at [prospectCompany]'

You think that'll get a low open rate?

I promise you it's better than the low reply hell you're currently experiencing trying to intrigue people with 'quick question'Secondly, if you're really worried that people won't respond, don't try to trick them

Do some meaningful research into what your prospect may actually need and then align it to that

You don't have to go through the back door to get a meeting in the reception of the building

It's really not hard to do better here because literally everyone is sending the same email

To stand out and avoid instant deletion, it will take 2 minutes of your time to come up with a simple alternative, relevant subject line

Or you could just keep sending quick question so that I can auto filter your email directly into my 'Low Reply Hell' folder
